Foundational Precepts

An Introduction to

Foundational Precepts

Number One

When the Lord God breathed into the nostrils of the 1st Adam he became a living soul (Genesis 2:7). When the Lord Jesus breathed upon the twelve disciples and said receive ye the Holy Ghost (John 20:20-22) they were born again of Spirit (John 3:3, 5) and became quickening spirits (1st Corinthians 15:45). They became members of His body (1st Corinthians 12:13), new creatures in Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:17-18; Ephesians 2:15) and priests of the Melchisedec order (Revelation 1:5-6). They had also received authority as priests to remit the sin of the world that the Lamb of God had taken away!

Jesus teaches us that we are a city in Matthew 5:14A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. What is he talking about? He is speaking in parables, as he always has and always will. Parables were spoken by Jesus to hide the revelation of the mysteries of the Kingdom. Only the Father can reveal Jesus’ true identity to people (Matthew 16:17). Once the spirit of wisdom and revelation is activated and the King of the kingdom revealed to the individual, the keys of the kingdom are given. All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world Matthew 13:34-35.

Jesus instructs us that a key = knowledge. This key of revealed knowledge allows you to enter by the door (John 10:1) that the religious want to keep from you (Luke 11:52) that will allow you to enter relationship with the King. Jesus tells Peter …upon this rock (this revealed by the Fathers knowledge of Jesus’ identity) I will build my church… Jesus builds His church! We like Esther obey the Kings commandments. What about the parable of us being the city? …the holy city, the New Jerusalem, coming down from God, out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Revelation 21:2) The city is His Bride! His city is us!!

Abraham looked for a city that had foundations, whose builder and maker was God Hebrews 11:8-10

You as His city must receive the revelation that you have foundations. This is why Abraham’s Promise Ministries are offering these Foundational Precepts. We have a mandate from the Lord to make these teaching articles available to all on a free will offering basis. In other words there is no fee or charge of any kind for any of our materials. We only ask that you would ask the Lord if He would have you help us financially in tithe or offerings.

There are two questions that are brought up in Revelation 21:2. What does it mean coming down from God out of Heaven and the second what is the process with which this city is prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. In these articles we will examine the scriptures for the answer to these and other foundational questions. In the scriptures we will find that: The sum of thy word is truth… (Psalm 119:60 NAS) and that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation (2nd Peter 1:20-21). We must look at all, the sum of all prophetic scriptures that we may interpret Revelation 21:2 along with all other scriptures in the prophecy of that book (Revelation 22:10).

How are we to be prepared and adorned as a bride? It begins by loving Jesus and by obeying His commandments (John 14:15-21; 15:9-27) and it continues in 1st John 2:3-5 (NAS) 3And by this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4The one who says, I have come to know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him:
